Wontumi’s Aide fights Bill Asamoah over Awards

Special Aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Andy Owusu has fired a shot at Kumawood actor, Bill Asamoah accusing him of being anti-government.

According to the spokesperson of Mr. Bernard Antwi Bosiako, the latter prior to the 2016 clandestinely worked against then opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), the actor deserves nothing good from the government.

The Tourism Minister renctly awarded  movie icons such as Kwadwo Nkansah, Akrobeto, Nana Ama McBrown, Vivian Jill Lawrence and Akyere Bruwaa. Others include Bishop Bernard Nyarko, Rose Mensah (Kyeiwaa), Christiana Awuni and Bill Asamoah.

Speaking to journalists in Kumasi, Mr. Andy Owusu wondered why the Ministry did select Bill Asamoah whom he believes to be in bed with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and awarded him.

“Bill Asamoah is a known NDC Member who did underground and open campaign for John Mahama during the 2016 elections and we must all know he does not deserve this honor”
